Deer Rut 2013 - Bradgate Park

Deer Rut 2013 - Bradgate Park

The reason I was so slow to update my India photos is because I've spent a few of my spare days/afternoons at Bradgate Park in Leicestershire shooting the Deer Rut. This happens every October here. I only just found out in time about the rut, and decided Id have a go at photographing it. I've been to the park quite a few times before, but never really had an success in photographing them. I think this time I had a bit better luck! Ill post some more at the weekend, but for now he's a few shots I got from the deer rut.

India...

India...

The last few shots from my trip to India. These are mainly from the holy city of Varanasi on the banks of the river Ganges. This was possibly my favourite place to visit, the place is even more crazy than the other area we visited. As its a holy city, its always full of people coming here, either to bathe in the river, to be cremated in one of the river side 'Ghats' or just join in the celebrations that take place each night. A sunset and sunrise Ganges cruise provided some incredible memories, although the mixture of low light and a rocky boat hindered the chances of any really great shots!

India..

India..

A few more from my trip to India, trying a few different techniques such as panning, with varied results. The best couple are below. I was hoping that I would be able to post a few tiger shots, as we went on safari to find them. Unfortunately it wasn't to be. Its a shame, to see and photograph tigers in the wild would be fantastic! I had to settle for a few monkeys instead!

India

India

Im back from India and have a lot of photos to sort through. India is such a crazy, amazing place! Everywhere you turn there is endless photo opportunities. Definitely one of my favourite places and one to return to. Only scratching the surface of this amazing country, seeing a small amount of northern India, there is certainly a lot more to see and photograph! Its going to take a while to sort though the better shots, so for now Ill post a couple and try to keep this updated with more pics as I get the chance.
